Quattro2 Speakerphone Released

The Quattro2 is an improved version of the original Quattro. It utilies improved algorithms delivering improved performance, it has some exciting new features which are the result of customer’s feedback and it is produced using stringent quality control methods.

New features (all the Quattro2 models)

  • External microphone: the 3.5mm jack on the Quattro2 can be configured, through the Audio Setup Utility, to be used with external speakers and/or microphone. The user will have the ability to define this jack for the following parameters:
    • External speakers (default)
    • External microphone with following options:
      • Mic level
      • Phantom yes/no (3V)
      • Line Level such as a wireless lavaliere
      • Control the sensitivity of the microphone
      • In room sound reinforcement (“voice lift”)
    • External microphone and external speakers
  • On board reprogrammable memory enabling the saving of the audio setup parameters on the unit itself. This is especially helpful when the unit is not connected to the PC and cannot obtain audio settings through it, like in the case of a standalone PSTN, DTI, VCA conference phones.
  • Phoenix will offer two or three different output frequency responses that the user can choose from (through the audio setup utility) allowing them to tailor the sound to their liking.
  • Soft Dialing for the PSTN model (MT302) – this will eliminate the need to connect the unit to a dial pad or telephone in order to initiate a call. It will be available through a software application on a PC (free download).
  • New and improved packaging for added product protection

New features (Daisy Chain functionality)
The unlimited daisy chain capability, which is unique to Phoenix, is even better now. The new Quattro2 allows the user to:

  • Turn the whole chain on by turning the master on (can be turned on by software).
  • Turn the whole chain off from any unit in the chain (can be turned off by software).
  • Mute and UnMute the entire chain from any unit in the chain
  • Volume Up / Volume Down from any unit in the chain.
  • Charging a slave unit through the master when the units are not used (hibernation).

Upgradeability

  • The Quattro2 is downwards compatible but it is implemented on a redesigned board so old units cannot be upgraded to include the same features.
  • In the Daisy Chain mode old units can be chained with new units. However, the new feature which allows controlling the chain from any unit (like On/ Off, Mute and Volume) will not work when an old unit is part of the chain.
  • Phoenix will continue to support the old units
  • Current version Quattro will be replaced by same version if a service replacement is required.

MT103
An OEM solution with extended capabilities
The MT103 is an OEM daughter board the size of a business card. It includes a powerful DSP and an extended number of I/O ports. It also includes a USB interface that offers audio communication with a computer, uploading programs, and controlling DSP parameters.
The MT103 is available in two configurations: Standard (MT103S) and Turbo (MT103T).
The MT103S offers:

  • Two audio input channels with option to select them for Line Input or Mic Input (3V phantom). Each input has four selectable gain levels.
  • Two audio output channels with two selectable gain levels.
  • 108MHz DSP with top 216 MIPS

The MT103T offers:

  • Six audio input channels with option to select them for Line Input or Mic Input (3V phantom).
  • Two of the inputs have four selectable gain levels.
  • Four audio output channels with two selectable gain levels.
  • 192MHz DSP with top 384 MIPS

In addition both MT103 configurations offer:

  • Eight input control pins
  • Three output flags
  • Reset
  • Two analog inputs that are sampled with low frequency and low resolution and can be used as input control

MT44L
The 44L, the newest member in the MT400 series, is a four-channel Line Level Input module. It can be ordered with the same telephone interfaces as the MT4X2 or the MT4X5.
Each of the four Line Level inputs can be configured (through our audio setup utility) as:

  • Beamformer Audio input (ideal for wireless microphone configuration). All the Beamforming inputs are mixed together to provide a single output utilizing Phoenix’s proprietary Beamforming Mixer algorithm.
  • Sound Reinforcement Input - this input will be routed and played through the room’s speakers, in addition to being added to the module’s output.
  • Auxiliary Input – an analog input from a recorder, MP3, or other device, which is routed and played through the room’s speakers, in addition to being added to the module’s output.

Duet VCA
This is the latest addition to the Duet family of products, arguably one of the most popular portable conference phone product lines in the world. The Duet VCA (Video Conferencing Application) comes with USB connectivity plus a pair of RCA jacks for connection to codecs making this an ideal, economical, small to medium sized room solution for video conferencing applications. Some key features:

  • It can bridge the USB and VCA interfaces together into a single call.
  • Works with PC’s or MAC’s
  • Comes with an international power supply for operation anywhere in the world, or it can be powered by USB
  • Amazing full duplex, clarity, and volume
